Purchasing PE Kit (23rd April 2021)

PE Kit can be purchased in store at Pretty Miss or online at PSM Sports depending on what is easiest for parents you can visit the store at Pretty Miss in Cwmbran or if you cannot get there you can use the online store with PSM at: https://www.psmsportswear.com/ysgol-abersychan/

Thank you for supporting the students in wearing the right kit and uniform on the right days. The standard of kit has been outstanding and the students look very smart whilst taking part in Physical Education all with their black matching PE attire. We believe that the new system has had the following effects:

• Creating an environment where active wear is accepted as the norm; contributing to a culture of physically active young people who see physical activity and exercise as a key part of their active lifestyles.
• Less time lost in PE lessons due to changing at the beginning and end of lessons.
• Calm beginning and end to lessons in classrooms developing teaching and learning with high quality introductions and plenaries in a warm, dry, spacious environment.
• Increased % of students wearing the appropriate kit for lessons! We look very smart!
• Increased % of students taking a full and active role in lessons.

Thank you for your support of our young people in making this happen. We have had a number of queries regarding kit since the beginning of the term and as a result would like to offer some clarity on student's options and give more options to students and parents. We have now created an online shop through one of our suppliers at PSM Sports to allow students the options shown on the attachment.
