On Friday 28th June we took a very strong team of 32 Year 7 & 8 Students to the District Minors Athletics Championships and a day of unprecedented success followed! There were so many great performances throughout the day as the students represented the school with distinction on and off the track. There were lots of great performances including lots of 2nds and 3rds with wins for Liam Holder (Year 7 Javelin), Gethin Roberts (Year 8 Javelin), the Y7 relay team, Ffion Roberts (Year 8 200 metres), Courtney Hale (Year 8 Long Jump) whilst Kye Jennings (Year 7 100 metres) and Euwen Ward (Year 7 800 metres) put on outstanding performances blowing away the competition in their races.
We have today been informed that the following students have qualified from their District Event to the County Finals tomorrow:
